On the Street
2019-
On the Street is a collection of encounters, an exploration of people as they move through the world. Strangers, caught mid-step, mid-thought, mid-moment. Some are aware of the camera, adjusting ever so slightly within the frame. Others remain immersed in their own rhythm, unaware that, for a brief instant, they have become part of something else.
Each portrait is an invitation to wonder. Who are they? What lingers in the space between them and the streets they pass through? The photographs don’t provide answers—only traces of possibility, leaving the viewer to imagine the lives unfolding beyond the edges of the frame.
But On the Street is not just about them—it is also about the act of looking itself. What does it mean to frame a stranger, to turn an everyday passerby into a subject? Some meet the gaze directly, offering a quiet defiance or an easy warmth. Others turn away, caught between presence and disappearance. In this space of observation, between photographer and stranger, something delicate and electric takes place—a moment that is fleeting yet, for a split second, infinite.
